Half Marathon Course Description

The Half Marathon Walk and Run begins on the grounds of Camas High School and proceeds northwest around scenic Lacamas Lake.  The paved country roads are tree lined and quiet.  The natural lake makes for a serene setting.  At mile ~5.5 on the course the walkers and runners will reach Camas meadows drive and do a finger loop giving you beautiful views of the Camas Meadows Golf course.  As you come back out of the loop, you will run down to the entrance of Heritage Trial.  This 3.25 mile lone hard packed dirt trail has excellent footing and a few short and gradual hills.  This trail takes participants right next to Lacamas Lake with views of Mt. Hood on its way along the southern shore.  At the end of the trail, participants will again be on country roads for the last mile leading back to Camas High School. As a warning, from 12 – 12.5, you will have a pretty steep uphill climb, so save a little extra energy!  The finish is on the track!
